FNMI Group Care, located in Edmonton, Alberta serves all Indigenous youth in Alberta. We are dedicated to the wellbeing of the youth in our care and ensure they can thrive in a supportive home environment. We are committed to ensuring each youth remains connected to their Indigenous cultural roots. FNMI was founded to ensure that Indigenous youth could access culturally safe services while in care.

We collaborate with First Nations and Métis health services to provide:

  • Physical and mental health support tailored to Indigenous youth.
  • Traditional medicine and healing guided by Elders.
  • Counselling support for emotional and psychological well-being.

We are dedicated to providing reliable, quality health care for First Nations in Canada. 

We provide lodging, care, and support for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children and youth who require a safe and structured living environment. Our programs focus on fostering resilience, cultural identity, and emotional well-being.

FNMI Group Care provides:

  • Children & Youth Group Care – A safe and structured home environment for Indigenous children in care.
  • Counselling Support – One-on-one and group mental health support with a trauma-informed approach.

Our intake process includes:

  • Initial Consultation – A discussion with the child, their guardian, and referring agency.
  • Needs Assessment – Evaluating emotional, cultural, and health care needs.
  • Personalized Care Plan – Creating a tailored plan for the child’s growth and well-being.
